About Our Sacred Heart Location

Previously operating under the name Normanview Daycare, we have been providing child care services to the northwest communities of Regina for 45 years this year! We began operations on February 25, 1975 and have enjoyed every minute since then. We provide care for children ages 18 months to 5 years of age in our licensed programs.

We are thrilled to have opened our Sacred Heart location for the fall of 2017.

We are a group of passionate and dedicated individuals who care greatly about the children in our care. We desire to be the “home away from home” that you can leave your child with during your workday, where learning is incorporated into play and having fun! If you have any questions about our website or center please do not hesitate to contact us.

Hours of Operation

Prairie Lily at Sacred Heart is open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Our doors unlock automatically at 7:00 am, and you need to pick up by 6:00 pm at the latest.

Please do not drop your children off prior to our opening times. If staff are there a few minutes early, it is to prepare the center for our day. If you arrive after closing times all late fees will apply. Our late fee is $50.00 for every portion of 15 minutes that you are late. If any children are remaining in the Centre after 6:30 pm and we cannot locate a parent or guardian, we will call Social Services to inquire about emergency pickups.

Daycare Wish Lists

We are always looking for “new to us” items that we can incorporate into our programs. We want our centre to be a beautiful, home-like environment for your children to enjoy while they spend the day with us. It is always a treat for us to receive new toys for the daycare, and if you are cleaning out your home or playroom, please consider us if you have the following items:

  • Legos

  • Blocks of any kind

  • Books (both board books or soft paper books)

  • Dolls/Babies

  • Little People or animals

  • Toys made of natural materials (clay, wood, cloth, etc.)

  • Puzzles

  • Card or board games

  • Scissors

  • Plants

  • Old art supplies (paintbrushes, paint, glue, glitter, paper, doilies, yarn, felt etc.)

  • Extra pants or tops (for when we have accidents)

  • Large shirts for paint shirts

  • Throw rugs or pillows

  • Old artwork for us to display

  • Old picture frames (wooden or otherwise)

Of course, we will take most donations, but if you are looking to get rid of any of those specific items, we will gladly take them off of your hands!

If you are wanting to donate items to the center in lieu of fundraising, please consider any of the following items:

  • Unopened/new sunscreen or bug spray (for sensitive skin)

  • Kirkland brand unscented wipes

  • Vaseline, baby powder, Zincofax, etc.

  • Assorted sizes of diapers or pull ups

  • New blankets for children’s naptimes

  • Sheets for our sleep mats (24x48x2 inches)

  • Kleenex

  • Band-Aid brand bandages/Children’s polysporin

  • Touques, mittens, neck warmers or (used) boots for winter outdoor play

During the summer months we are working on a few different gardening and growing projects. We would be happy to receive any of the following items:

  • Pots/planters

  • Dirt

  • Bone meal or non toxic fertilizer

Please do not feel required to bring any of these items in to the center, or that we cannot operate if we do not receive donations. Donations only enhance what we are already able to do, and we can provide a richer and fuller program for our children. If you would continue to fundraise please be on the lookout for our Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter fundraisers!
